RMTL Consulting Inc. specializes in transformative practices for learning and understanding. Solange Lalonde, Managing Director, is inspired by creating relational and ethical spaces for learning and understanding across diverse sectors. RMTL stands for the “Relational Model for Teaching and Learning” (Lalonde, 2017) which Solange created and published in her Master’s thesis in Educational Research in Curriculum and Learning at the University of Calgary. The model provides a methodology for a systemic approach for transformative practice and RMTL Consulting Inc. provides a suite of programs that enable scalable and sustainable solutions for engaging in learning, building capacity, and creating a community of practice focused on quality teaching and learning principles. RMTL Consulting Inc works with clients to license and localize templates for a highly personalized learning program that is responsive to individual needs and localized contexts. Current licensed programs include a focus on curriculum review, curriculum development, curriculum online, curriculum for microcredential ecosystems, and competencies for lifelong learning. RMTL Consulting Inc. is incorporated federally in Canada and provincially in Alberta; clients include social justice enterprises, universities, educational technology companies, service and support businesses, and Indigenous organizations.
Solange Lalonde
Solange has expertise in conceptualizing, designing, and implementing curriculum for primary and secondary education, higher education, as well as professional learning programs. Her professional experience includes strategy consulting for large-scale projects, designing decolonizing approaches to education, and curriculum alignment for competence-based teaching and learning programs.
